08.02.07 Guinness World Record Attempt

And now it is a fact! We have filed an application for a Guinness World Record attempt. The distance is the classical Trondheim – Oslo (Styrkeproven) and our means of transportation is the unicycle (one-wheel-bike). Never before has anybody tried a 48 hours race on a unicycle.

We have been planning this race for a long time. At first our intention was to go Lillehammer – Oslo this summer, but if weather and wind conditions are favourable we will try Trondheim – Oslo instead. Only about 20 people in the world have ridden 100 miles (160km) in 24 hours, so it will be a big challenge for us. The 24 hours world record is held by Ken Looi from New Zealand, accomplished on Feb. 7th 2005 on a bicycle velodrome with 378.70km.

Acceptance is received from the Styrkeproven organizers. We are also supported by several sponsors.

Unicycle road race (540km) in 48 hours. Den store styrkeprøven, Trondheim - Oslo, 22. - 24. juni 2007.

Klikk på bildet for stor størrelse! The registration has started. Tore Johansen, who also ran service for us during Styrkeproven 2006, Eidsvoll - Oslo (60km) is helping with the registration. He is a better linguist than us onewheel guys.
